Adult Formation Class

Adult Formation Class

Each Sunday morning from 9 to 10 AM during the school year, adults are invited to our Adult Formation  Class (formerly known as Adult Education Class). This hour offers thought provoking discussion on issues that inform and challenge us in our faith and how we choose to live it out.  The hour together is an opportunity to enjoy great fellowship, make new friends and consider topics important to faith in Christ.  We hope you will join us!

"Space 4 Grace" Women's Fellowship

“Space 4 Grace” Women’s Fellowship

Space 4 Grace is a bi-monthly women’s gathering focused on conversation around issues of faith and connection with one another.  It is a time in our busy lives to reflect on and grow in our spiritual lives and in our friendships. In Space 4 Grace we experience God’s grace to us, and through us to one another. Come and make Space 4 Grace in your life!!  We meet the second and fourth Fridays each month from 11 to noon in the Education Building.

“First Friday” Prayer Retreat

Newberg First Presbyterian Church is a house of prayer. We cultivate our prayer lives with the help of a prayer retreat every first Friday of the month. This half day retreat begins at 9 AM and finishes at 1 PM.

We begin in the sanctuary with a Lectio Divina on a small passage of Scripture followed by two hours of solitude. We encourage retreat participants to use our Newberg Peace Garden on the back of our church campus which includes a beautiful labyrinth.

We finish each retreat with a brief communion service and a relaxing lunch in our Fellowship Hall.

Retreat materials are included for each participant and are also sent to the church congregation to use from home if needed. Our prayer retreats are free and open to the public. Come join us for a day of peace, rest, prayer, and renewal.
